Shawn fell into his career in a peculiar way. Originally trained as a landscaper, Shawn began working at a hotel in his home town of Brisbane, Australia. After a night filling in as a server / bartender, Shawn fell in love with the
industry and started on the long path to today.

Shawn started his career in hotels but quickly made his way through pubs, nightclubs, cocktail bars and high end resorts. Some of Shawn's venues include Jorge (now Little Jumbo in Brisbane) and Hayman Island Resort (Whitsundays). Shawn's experience in various venues coupled with his passionate search for knowledge and cocktail competition experience have made him one of the most experienced bartenders in the world.

Shawn's main goals are to bring mixology to the masses and to blur the borders between flair, mixology and sommeliers. After many years perfecting his craft, he's exported himself to Canada as a writer, mixologist & sommelier.
